From a young age, Ismael showed an innate love for art, a passion so deep that it led him to train at the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT), where he absorbed the secrets of dramatic art and broadcasting.
It wasn't just the talent of his family of artists that he inherited but also the dedication and love for the craft. At the age of 20, his career began to flourish, supported by the unconditional backing of friends and family who always saw in him a being destined to illuminate the world with his art. Zafiro has shone on competitive stages, where his talent has been recognized with countless awards and distinctions.
With an unwavering commitment to justice and equality, Ismael has been a key figure in the campaigns against Homophobia and Transphobia, using his art as a powerful vehicle for social change. His love for theater led him to join the prestigious Havana Amphitheater in 2018, where he debuted in the iconic play Les Misérables. This title, far from confining him, underscores the greatness of his spirit and the splendor of his achievements.
