Canto Planetario was designed to achieve an unimaginable dream. This was made possible thanks to the support of guests from 110 countries, in 77 languages! It features 268 participants: 134 women and 134 men, including both poets (216) and storytellers (36). Three translators were involved, two of whom are also poets. Additionally, there is a visual artist, two graphic designers, a draftsman, a photographer, a singer-songwriter, a musical arranger, a musician, and nine singers; of these, six perform the official anthem in Spanish. Among the total participants, 110 are Spanish-speaking.

Here, in this work, is the planetary generation!

This project is independent, with no connections to organizations, institutions, companies, ideologies, political, cultural, economic, social, or religious beliefs. The participants and their contributions are free from any forms of discrimination, racism, nationality, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, language, economic status, academic level, or other human distinctions.

The publication of Canto Planetario consists of two volumes. The first volume includes participants from Africa, the Americas, and Oceania. The second volume features those from Asia and Europe. Each volume contains the general information of the work, the names of the contributors, their respective countries, and the languages represented.

Canto Planetario unites us. It brings together people from all parts of the planet; it makes us one family whose home is a book, a two-room house, in two volumes. The architect of this house has been the "Poet Boy," Mr. Carlos Javier Jarquín, who has given me the privilege of being the builder, through HC EDITORES, to raise the house and make it visible. Here we reside as dreamers who believe that a peaceful, supportive, and respectful world for our fellow beings and Nature is possible.

The writers participating in this beautiful and committed book contribute texts with a profound ecological and denunciatory sense, addressing all that destroys our common home and jeopardizes human survival. Canto Planetario is an active plea, it is hope, it is peace, and it is love for humanity... It is imperative that Canto Planetario be widely distributed in schools, universities, and all associations and study centers. The Poets of the World Movement will promote this book in all possible spaces and use social media and modern communication mechanisms to ensure that Canto Planetario is known in the 143 countries where we have representation, and even beyond, because it fulfills our purpose.

Luis Arias Manzo. Poets of the World Movement.

Carlos Javier Jarquín envisioned this call and, despite his inaudible voice in the deaf ears of the world, invited writers, artists, and poets from around the globe with the intention of uniting voices to be heard; with them, all citizens who, like Jarquín, are concerned about the planet are represented. Judging by the number of thinkers, artists, dreamers, poets, painters, and others who responded to the call of the ideologist of this Planetary Song, we can conclude that there is an interest in doing something, and the unity of all is, in itself, a great contribution. Canto Planetario is your call, it is your shout, it is your voice.

Canto Planetario is a cry of alarm, of hope, for us to become aware of the critical situation facing the planet, and a call to recognize the accelerating danger threatening the sustainability of life on Earth.
