Ambrosia. Is a poem taken from the book The Rainbow of My Insatiable Desires by Osiris Valdés López

She would be in charge of his kisses, of his lips, and the sweet aroma that would forever hypnotize his senses. She would be the owner of his desires and the most beautiful of all his memories. He would never tire of looking at her, observing her, and touching her with his mind, feeling the blessed sensation of brushing the most superb of heavens and longing for her without fears, arming himself with the courage required to fight for the heartbeats. He finally understood that he had never before been the rhyme of the poetry because he did not know her.

It is true that there are nights that drown in the mist and disappear; moments, instants, minutes that we live so many times. Gazes that make us fall in love, illuminate smiles, that defeat us. People, places that are left behind in time. It is true that sometimes we would like to return.

"The eyes are the reflection of the soul!" - He said.

There are almost eternal muses that never leave us alone, they make us relive; it is true that the soul keeps memories of past lives and sometimes it weeps, sighs, and falls in love again.  Sometimes we look at the horizon and perceive new colors, sensations that we already knew but did not remember. Sometimes we notice the details and realize that they are true: love, madness, the waist and the song, then desire ignites.

And it is so beautiful to feel joy returning when someone adores you, you know it, how one longs to love, to scratch the calm before the fleeting, and to once again love the reproach of the one you fell in love with once, and to run for those who await us, to stop at least one second of the past and be brave enough to say what we feel.

It is true that while you have riches your most loyal followers are by your side, but when you find yourself poor, few remain. And that the most certain truths sometimes hide in the shadows of lies.

When the storm subsides, little by little we forget the lightning and thunder that scared us. It is true that no one is better than anyone else for feeling pain; life goes on, everything continues. The light goes out, the moon rises. And only then does inspiration become a sublime way of getting through the days...

In the embrace of its verses, "Ambrosia" becomes a hymn to the eternity of desire. Valdés López transports us to a universe where love takes center stage in a sensory epic, with the senses entwined in a dance of passion and memory. The image of lips, laden with an intoxicating aroma, invites us to reflect on the purity of feelings and the capacity of memories to illuminate our lives with eternal radiance.

In "Ambrosia," every line is a melody that immerses us in the depth of the most intimate longings. Valdés López’s poetry becomes a mirror reflecting the lights and shadows of the human soul. The sensation of touching the heavens through love and desire intertwines with the reality of a fading time, creating a landscape where the ephemeral becomes eternal.

The work "Ambrosia" is a poetic whisper exploring the delicate balance between memory and oblivion. Valdés López takes us on an introspective journey where every glance and every lost moment resonates with unexpected depth. The notion that eyes are the reflection of the soul reminds us of the connection between perception and lived experience, where love and pain merge into a dance of memories and emotions.

"Ambrosia" masterfully captures the essence of human feelings through the relentless fleetingness of time. The metaphor of love as a desire awakening and the recognition of truths hidden in shadows resonates with penetrating sincerity. Valdés López invites us to confront the duality of life, where pain and beauty intertwine to create a poetic experience that is both universal and deeply personal.

In the poem "Ambrosia," Valdés López’s pen becomes an instrument to explore the complexity of human emotions. Each stanza reveals the fragility of memories and the intensity of feelings emerging through experience and longing. The idea that inspiration arises from overcoming storms reminds us that, even in the darkest moments, poetry has the power to illuminate the path to hope and renewal.
