 Carlos Javier Jarquín, born on June 26, 1990, in Rancho Grande, Matagalpa Department, Nicaragua, is a distinguished writer, poet, columnist, cultural journalist, music producer, and cultural activist currently residing in Costa Rica. From an early age, Jarquín faced life's challenges with the resilience of a creative soul forged in adversity. Raised by his grandmother, his path to recognition in the cultural and literary world has been marked by unwavering perseverance.

 

 Jarquín's career as a columnist has flourished in prestigious newspapers such as Diario 16 (Madrid), Diario Siglo XXI (Valencia), La Prensa (Managua), El Siglo (Guatemala), and La Onda Digital (Montevideo), among others. Through these platforms, he has woven a network of promotion for numerous artists and intellectuals, emerging as a beacon of critique and analysis in the vast cultural sea.

 During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jarquín turned the crisis into an opportunity for celebration and reflection by organizing the First International Literary Festival "Honoring Death and Celebrating Life", a virtual event that brought the literary community together in tribute to the human spirit and resilience.

 

 In 2021, his organizational talent shone through with the coordination of the "Antología del Bicentenario de Centroamérica", a literary work celebrating two centuries of Central American independence. This anthology includes voices from notable writers such as Julio Sanabria, Gilberto Arriza, Roberto de León, Rina Rodríguez, and Niki Sáenz, offering a diverse perspective on this significant milestone.

 

 The year 2023 saw the birth of "Canto planetario: hermandad en la tierra", a two-volume multilingual poetic anthology advocating for a better future for our planet and humanity. With contributions from over 200 authors, including Gustavo Gac-Artigas, David Eggleton, Les Wicks, Beatriz Copello, Marion May Campbell, Víctor Ramos (member of the Honduran Academy of Language), and Hebert Abimorad, this monumental work highlights the urgency of a united voice for hope and renewal.

 

 Jarquín's impact and mastery have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Rubén Darío National Literature Prize (2022) and the International Poetry Award of the Latino World (2023). Additionally, his influence extends beyond national borders as a corresponding member of the Academia Espírito-santense de Letras in Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil.
